Terms and Conditions for The Mayfair Melodists

Welcome to The Mayfair Melodists. These Terms and Conditions govern your engagement with our services, including bespoke musical entertainment, event planning, venue sourcing, custom sound and lighting design, and the provision of professional musicians for hire. By utilising our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

• Bespoke Musical Entertainment: Provision of tailored musical performances, specializing in jazz ensembles, for private and corporate events. Our musicians are professional and experienced.
• Event Planning and Coordination: Comprehensive planning and coordination for elegant gatherings, from conceptualisation to execution.
• Venue Sourcing and Liaison: Assistance in identifying and coordinating with suitable venues for your event.
• Custom Sound and Lighting Design: Professional design and setup of sound and lighting systems to enhance your event's ambiance.

2. Booking and Payments

All services require a formal booking agreement. A non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due prior to the event date, as specified in your individual service agreement. Payment terms and schedules will be clearly outlined in your personalized proposal.

We accept various payment methods as agreed upon during the booking process. Failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in the cancellation of services without a refund of the deposit.

3. Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations made by the client following the deposit payment may result in forfeiture of the deposit. Specific cancellation policies, including any additional fees or refunds, will be detailed in your service agreement, dependent on the nature and scale of the services booked and the notice period provided.

Any desired changes to the scope of services must be communicated to The Mayfair Melodists in writing and are subject to mutual agreement and potential adjustments to the service fee. We will endeavour to accommodate all reasonable requests for changes.

4. Client Responsibilities

• Accurate Information: Provide accurate and timely information necessary for the smooth execution of our services.
• Venue Access: Ensure appropriate access to the venue and necessary facilities (e.g., power supply, suitable performance space) for our performers and technical staff.
• Cooperation: Cooperate with The Mayfair Melodists staff and musicians to ensure the success of your event.

5. Intellectual Property

All concepts, designs, musical arrangements, and proprietary materials developed by The Mayfair Melodists for your event remain the intellectual property of The Mayfair Melodists. Any usage beyond the scope of the agreed services requires prior written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Mayfair Melodists shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use our services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on our service; (iii) any content obtained from our service; and (iv) unauthorised access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage. Our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the services in question.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
